A list of the Search Agent parameters is shown by running:
searchagent.exe /help
The easiest way to configure the Search Agent process is using the Search Agent Parameters Wizard.
Extracted Files
When the Search Agent executable runs it first extracts a number of files to a location on the local hard drive, depending on the type of installation:

Files are extracted to the temporary folder, of the running user, on the local drive. When the Search Agent process shuts down all the files from the temporary location are deleted. |
Once the files have been extracted the Search Agent listener, called flr_client.exe, is launched.
Stopping
The Search Agent can be stopped by either:
| • | Typing 'quit' at the Search Agent console. |
| • | Running 'searchagent.exe /stop' on the machine. |
