The Target Computers list shows all the remote computers to be searched. The search location will default to the Default Location in the Main Tab but can be changed for each target computer.
When entering the location use the format:
C:\Folder |
- when specifying the location as a local drive letter and folder on the remote computer |
\Share\Folder |
- when specifying the location as a network share on the remote computer |
To add a target computer click the Add Target Computer button.
which will open the Add Target dialog
There are six different target computer types:
Host name |
The name of a given computer on the network. Enter the name without any preceding \\. |
IP Address |
IP Address of computer specified in the IPv4 format x.x.x.x |
IP Address Range |
An IPv4 address range, inclusive of the first and last address of the range, e.g. 192.168.5.105 - 192.168.5.255. Note: The range cannot exceed more than 1,000,000 IP addresses. |
Network Group |
Workgroup or Domain. |
File List |
Text file with a list of host names or IP addresses. |
Predefined Group |
Predefined Target Group. |
