For FileLocator Network to communicate securely with the Search Agent software FileLocator Network needs to have a PKCS key. FileLocator Network will automatically generate a random PKCS but existing keys can be imported or new keys generated at any time. The Security Configuration dialog manages these keys:
IMPORTANT: If you are using the Search Agent via TCP/IP (i.e. manual installation) the Search Agent parameters must be also modified to reflect the new keys.
Sharing Keys
To share the keys with other FileLocator Network installations click the 'Export' button to export the keys to an XML file that can be imported by the other installations.
Generating New Keys
To change the keys click the 'Generate New Keys' button to generate new random keys.
